How Well Do You Know Your Best Friend?

“Life (and friendship) is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” -Forrest Gump

Recently I was watching a YouTube video titled Best Friend Challenge. It featured two girls answering questions about each other to see how well they knew each other. It inspired today’s post, as Lindsay and I have been best friends for a while now and I thought it would be fun to put our friendship to the test!

Below we’ve compiled a list of questions that we will each answer about each other.

When and how did we first meet?

Lindsay: During our symphonic choir class in high school. We had some mutual friends that helped us make the connection!

Danielle: I remember Lindsay moving to our school around 7th or 8th grade but I don’t think we started talking until 9th grade in choir. We bonded over music and crazy people in our class.

If she could travel to one place, where would she go?

Lindsay: Danielle would definitely travel to England. She’s obsessed with everything British (especially the accents).

Danielle: England! We’ve talked about taking a trip for a long time.

What is her favorite food?

Lindsay: I would have to say Mexican food is pretty high up on her list. We’re always getting queso, margs, and tacos!

Danielle: This is tough because we are both self proclaimed foodies but I’m going to guess… sushi?

It’s Saturday morning. What show is she most likely binge watching?

Lindsay: She’s either re-watching the “Sex and the City”, “The Office”, or “Gilmore Girls series… or catching up on a missed episode of her fave reality TV shows.

Danielle: I would guess Lindsay is watching Law and Order SVU or American Dad.

Do they prefer coffee or tea?

Lindsay: COFFEE.

Danielle: 100% Coffee!

Who’s her celebrity crush?

Lindsay: Andy Samberg is definitely a mutual crush of ours!

Danielle: Andy Samberg! I think our lives were made when we met The Lonely Island last year.

What’s the craziest thing we’ve done together?

Lindsay: Are we the crazy type? Our concert memories are at the top of my list. Oh, and anytime we go out in Downtown Columbus.

Danielle: We are both pretty laid back people so I would say anything we put here will sound mild. One time we waited outside for the AP Tour concert for over 8 hours in 90 degree weather without food, drinks, or sunscreen. When we finally got to the show we had our hair pulled, the back of our legs kicked, and we lost several items in the mosh pit- all for a concert. Oh, and we came back to my car to find a parking ticket. We barely made it out of that concert alive.

Describe her in one word.

Lindsay: Loyal

Danielle: Genuine

We’re going out to eat. Where does she suggest we eat?

Lindsay: Anywhere with queso. Usually, Local Cantina or Chuy’s!

Danielle: After we both go back and forth for about 10 minutes being indecisive, she’d probably suggest the Local Cantina.

What was her first job?

Lindsay: Twister’s Cones and Coneys

Danielle: I believe her first job was working at Twister’s Cones and Coneys with me!

Of all the reality shows we watch, which one is her favorite?

Lindsay: Do you have a favorite?? Umm maybe between The Bachelor franchise and Keeping Up with the Kardashians?

Danielle: When we lived together, there were very few things that kept us up past 10pm. The one reality show we watched live almost every episode was The Bachelor/Bachelorette. So that’s my guess.

What is her biggest fear?

Lindsay: She does NOT love heights. Or driving next to semi-trucks.

Danielle: She is paranoid about leaving her straightener on. I also found out she’s afraid of heights while we were at the top of the Empire State Building a few years ago.

What’s her favorite movie?

Lindsay: Despicable Me or anything minion! I’m not sure if that’s the absolute fave, but I know it’s on the list.

Danielle: I think Hot Rod is her favorite.

How often do you talk to each other?

Lindsay: Practically every day.

Danielle: We talk pretty much every day!

Do we have any inside jokes?

Lindsay: Dwight is my fusband.

Danielle: Dwight is my fusband.

On a scale of 1-10 how important is your friendship?

Lindsay: It’s off the charts! 10/10 would recommend.

Danielle: It’s too legit to quit! 10!
